We're super excited to begin this new 2025 chapter with you and remain dedicated to improving B2B payments for your business.

As we kick off the year, here's what's new:

Idempotent requests (API)

When network issues, timeouts, or retries occur, operations can accidentally be processed multiple times, leading to duplicates or data inconsistencies.

With idempotency keys, you can ensure each operation is processed only once, regardless of how many times it's retried. Simply include one in your API requests, and our system will handle retries safely, returning consistent results every time.

More details in our API guide

Consumed Quotes

Previously, quotes could only be accepted, refused, or canceled. Now, they can also be consumed!

Until now, an accepted quote remained in that status indefinitely, with no way to indicate it had been fully utilized through attached payments. With this update, quotes can now be marked as consumed, giving you a clear view of their status. You can even choose to consume a quote yourself if the remaining unconsumed amount is no longer needed.

Credit limit reserved amount

Our credit limits now include the total reserved amount, offering a clearer overview of the Debtor's commitments.

This new field reflects the total amount currently booked, including paid and unpaid loans as well as unconsumed quotes. With this update, you can easily track both completed payments and those in progress, without having to do the maths.

New Credit limit webhooks

You can now subscribe to these two new events to be notified every time the outstanding and reserved amount are updated:

  • credit-limit.outstanding-amount.updated
  • credit-limit.reserved-amount.updated

We’re excited to close the year by introducing repayments in our API, and we look forward to your feedback. Wishing you a happy new year!

Manage Repayment Reconciliations with our API

No more contacting support for repayment details: our API now lets you retrieve and manage repayments and reconciliations. This simplifies collaboration and improves visibility.

Introducing our new API concepts:

  • Repayments: view all repayments and see whether they’re reconciled.
  • Payment Reconciliations: dive deeper into reconciliations—track which loans are repaid, current balances, and related redirections. You can also edit current reconciliations or create new ones.

These features are live on our API. Your dashboard will be upgraded soon.

Introducing SEPA Direct Debit

We’re excited to announce that B2B SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) is now available as a payment option! This new payment method enables collecting funds from Debtors on a recurring basis, offering a reliable and automated solution.

Interested in using SEPA Direct Debit? Reach out to your Key Account Manager to check your eligibility and get started.

This feature is only available via our API for now.

We’re continuing to improve credit limits to make collaboration easier and bring more transparency.

Can your credit limits be revised?

  • We often get questions about how to upgrade debtor credit limits, and we’ve got good news! Our API and beta dashboard (request access if interested!) now return this specific information. You’ll see whether a revision is possible for each credit limit and find out if supporting documents are required for your request.

New ways of sharing T&Cs or invoice consents

  • We’ve introduced new API endpoints to help you share essential information with us, such as notifying us that our Terms of Services have been confirmed with a beneficiary, that an invoice has been validated, or that our Terms of Services have been notified to a debtor.
  • These features let you log consents directly in our product, enabling us to track every step of the processes you’ve managed on your platform. Additionally, instead of attaching documents to payment advances as before, you can now use the dedicated invoice validation endpoint.
  • These updates are currently available via the API and will soon be added to the dashboard as required steps. We’ll notify you when it becomes necessary, but feel free to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.

Back-to-school season has been a busy one here at Aria! We’ve rolled out several updates designed to make moving money easier and more efficient for you.

This list of new features provides useful insights for anyone interested in Credit Limit and KYB flows.

Next API breaking changes

  • (December 4) A set of breaking changes around Credit limits and Debtors will be added to the product to improve the overall experience.
  • (Coming soon) New Credit limit refusal reasons will be added to the current list, you can see the new ones in our updated guide.

Frozen credit limits

  • Credit limits now display new information indicating a temporary freeze if late debtor repayments are detected. This update provides you with early visibility, helping to prevent unexpected, blocked Loans.
  • This information is now accessible through our API and will soon be available on our newly redesigned dashboard.

Credit limit allocations

  • You can now request a specific Credit Limit allocation for a Debtor, allowing your company to guarantee a set amount if Aria’s initial limit doesn’t meet your financing needs. This allocation can be requested directly on our dashboard, with contract signing included.
  • Please contact your dedicated account manager to enable this feature. A complete guide is available here: Credit limit allocations guide.

Onboardings

  • Our new Onboarding feature allows you to manage and track the registration of your beneficiaries in a fully compliant way on our platform.
  • It provides visibility into the onboarding and KYB status of beneficiaries, enabling you to monitor each document’s progress and see specific reasons for any rejections via API or through a dedicated portal link.
  • This feature is being gradually rolled out to clients based on their specific needs, with our team reaching out to those who may benefit from it.

Next breaking changes

We will be adding significant, new breaking changes to our API on December 4, 2024.

  1. Required Credit Limit before Loan creation: When creating a Loan, a Credit Limit must be created for the Debtor that is associated with the Invoice linked to the Loan. Failure to do so will result in an API error. This will ensure we onboard the Debtor before you request a payment.
  2. Required Debtor Contact on Invoice: A contact, along with their email, will be mandatory when creating an Invoice, so we can reach out to Debtors if we all agreed to manage debt collection.
  3. Required Debtor Name for Credit Limits: The Debtor name field will be required when creating a Credit Limit. This information is crucial for authenticating the counterparty.
To avoid these breaking changes, you will find a complete guide in our API docs.

At Aria, we recognize that API breaking changes can be challenging. If you have any feedback or concerns regarding these updates, please don't hesitate to reach out to your dedicated KAM.
